Issue #7: Try this this week: the monthly report that knows your brand
Intelligence, brand context, and the brand timeline in one report. Plus what shipped in 0.8.12.
Seventh issue. Same shape: one skill to try, what we shipped, one question for you.
Try this this week: the monthly report that knows your brand
The problem. A monthly report can tell your client what changed and still leave you alone with the only question they actually ask: why. The numbers live in one place. The things that explain them, the promo that ran, the stockout that bit, the ACOS target you agreed to in March, live in your head, a calendar, and a thread somewhere. So every month someone rebuilds that context by hand, and the report is only as sharp as whoever assembled it that day.
The solution. The new Report Max builds the report from three layers working together. MixShift Intelligence does the causal math: what moved, where, and how much of it traces to operations versus advertising. Your brand context supplies what you know about the account: the targets and where they came from, the sub-brands, the item groups. The brand timeline supplies what happened: promos, stockouts, launches, recorded when you learned about them. Every figure in the narrative is served by the intelligence service and checked before it renders, so the number in the sentence is the number in the data.
Try this: open Claude with the MixShift plugin and say:
"run monthly report max for [brand]"
The more brand context and timeline the account carries, the sharper the read. More at mixshift.ai/skills/mx-monthly-report-max.
This week in MixShift
What we shipped Friday in 0.8.12. Full notes at mixshift.ai/releases; deeper how-to lives in the knowledge base.
1. Reporting that combines the math, your knowledge, and the account's history
This is the release behind the spotlight. Report Max now reads all three layers in one pass: the intelligence engine's decomposition of the month, the brand context you set up once, and the brand events your whole team records. A discount week reads as a discount week instead of a mystery conversion spike, and a result gets judged against your target, not a generic baseline.
Now you can: hand a client a report that explains the month the way an analyst who knows the account would, because everything that analyst would know is in the inputs.
2. Walk into the client call knowing what you promised last month
The monthly report told you what happened. It did not tell you what to say. Report Max now produces two documents: a client-ready brief you can share as is, and a private companion with your talking points in call order, the numbers to keep off the call, and every commitment from last month's call checked against the data. Each brand gets one page that stacks every edition, so the link you send once is the link your client keeps. Bi-weekly and QBR windows are a word in the ask.
Now you can: say "prep my call with [brand]" and get both the client document and your own.
3. Run several things at once without getting signed out
Running several MixShift commands in parallel could have them race each other to refresh your sign-in, and the loser would wipe what the winner had just saved. Commands now take turns instead, and a session that really has expired says so once.
Now you can: run a batch of accounts side by side and have all of them finish.
MixShift Intelligence is also open to every account now, no separate application. Current version is 0.8.12. To see if you are behind, open the plugin and say "what's new with MixShift?"
