Issue #14: see the shelf your shoppers see

Who holds the Buy Box at each zip, and where you rank for holiday keywords. Plus 0.8.19, DSP, and Walmart ads are live.

amazon-practicalagency-operator-life

Same shape as always: one skill to try, what we shipped, one question for you.

Try this this week: see the shelf your shoppers see

The problem. Black Friday is a month out, and your client asks: "Are we still winning the Buy Box, and where do we show up for our holiday keywords?" Both change with where the shopper is.

The solution. Amazon Shelf is a new beta skill that shows the shelf a shopper sees at a zip: who holds the Buy Box for an ASIN and with what delivery promise, every seller's price, and where your ASINs rank for a keyword, organic and sponsored. Answers are dated public observations and never use your Amazon credentials.

Its companion, Featured Offer Check (also beta), finds which of your ASINs lost the Buy Box, and why. Say "check my featured offer."

Try this: update to 0.8.19 first, then open Claude with the MixShift plugin and say:

"Demo Amazon shelf."

To follow keywords, say "track these keywords for me." Each answer uses one request from your monthly shelf allowance. More on the Amazon Shelf page.

This week in MixShift

Friday's 0.8.19, plus DSP in the MixShift apps and Walmart. Full notes at mixshift.ai/releases.

1. Budget Balance

A new skill that sorts your Sponsored Products campaigns into raise, widen and cut, each with a reason, and changes nothing until you confirm.

Now you can: keep Q4 winners funded all day. Say "run a budget balance on [brand]."

2. DSP, end to end

  • Your DSP data in MixShift. Activate advertisers from Account Manager's new DSP Advertisers tab and MixShift loads about three months of performance and keeps it current. Reply and we'll help you turn on your first advertiser.
  • DSP changes from Claude and the API. The DSP skill and the Builder Platform Ads API now change campaign budgets, flights and state, and ad group bids, budgets and pacing, previewed and sent only once you confirm.
  • Forecasts that count DSP. Forecast Max now asks once whether an account's DSP spend should count. Say "run a forecast for [brand]."

Current version is 0.8.19. To check, open the plugin and say "update the plugin" and the mx-update skill walks you through the steps for your surface.

Walmart ads are live, in beta

Walmart approved our integration, so you can work Walmart Sponsored Search campaigns in Claude like Amazon: campaigns, keywords and bids, placement multipliers and performance reports, with every change previewed and confirmed first. It's early, so expect rough edges, and Walmart retail data isn't in yet.

To connect: an admin on your Walmart ad account adds MixShift as a partner in Walmart Connect Ad Center, with Campaign management and Reporting set to Edit (Walmart's guide). Then email the advertiser ID to support@mixshift.io and we'll finish it. Once connected, say "demo Walmart ads." More on the Walmart Ads page.

What can we solve for you?

Reply to this email. It goes to MixShift, and every reply gets a personal answer. If we already solve your problem, we point you at the skill. If we build it, we ship it with your name on the release note.
